Happy Birthday Jackson

Jackson had his 5th birthday party yesterday even though he will not officially be 5 until Thursday. He had a party with his friends at Let's Jump. Then a party with the family at our house. Can we say toy overload. Every year I try to put a few toys away so that when the new wears off we can open a new exciting toy (at no cost to me). But this year Jack beat me, he opened every toy before all the guests left. Note to self next year put toys away as he is opening them. He is only 5 I should be able to out smart him a few more years anyway. He is quite different than Kait. She would read the card first and then open the present. No matter what Kait always responded with "it's just what I always wanted!!" Jack just wants to open as fast as he can. He hardly responds to anything at all. But over the next few days he will sit very quietly in the toy room figuring out how every little piece works. He is very detailed in everything he does.

This is Jack in his new Michael Angelo (the ninja turtle) costume. Which he put on the minute we got home from the party.

This is Ironman. Another new costume for the collection. Hopefully it will be as cool in October as it is now, and we can be Ironman for Halloween.
And this is his new Batman wings with mask. He cannot wear those without his full black attire though. So you get the full effect. When he opened this one he did ask if he would be able to really fly? These wings will retract and you pull a cord to make them pop out. This is one of the toys he had to figure out. It only took a minute once he was shown for him to jump off the couch as he pulled the cord and pretend to fly. He thinks it's awesome. I see X-rays in the future. And my explanation: "He was flying like Batman." He had another great party for another great year, and I cannot wait to see what the next year has in store for us!

Happy birthday to Jack. I love how fast he opens his presents - probably a boy thing. The minute my kids get the paper off they are already setting it aside and asking where the next one is. These spoiled kiddos (mostly the grandmas fault i might add). The only difference is the majority of my kids presents are car-related instead of hero-related.
