Today I decided to mow the yard because it was looking like a jungle. Kris gave me complete instructions as if I had never mowed the yard before, but for some reason he thinks it looks much better when he does it. Anyway, I followed his instructions something I rarely do. I think that is what messed me up. This time I agree that it does look better when he mows it. The grass was wet and the high. Not a good combo for mowing. I could barely push the mower, and it continued to stop because so much grass was stuck underneath it. About the 7th time I flipped it over to remove the grass (not safe I know) I burned my hand on the front of the mower. After a few choice words and cold compress on the hand, Jack informed me that "I just needed to be tough about my hand. He showed me where his foot was "broke" ( a small scratch), and explained how he was very tough." He also told me that Jesus does not like me to talk like that. Kids, you gotta love them. So I decided to finish the yard with one good hand. It is done, but I must say I have done better. If I know Kris he will read the blog before leaving work and worry about what I did to the lawn the whole way home. So don't worry honey it's not that bad. I know this is not a big event to blog about, but for anyone who saw me I am sure they got a good laugh. I am off to the gym now to watch Kait flip around.

Our Family
We have decided to start blogging with the rest of the world. I am a little behind, and a little slow on the computer. This is not as easy as some people make it look, but I hope to get better over time. We hope this will allow family and friends to be a part of our crazy hectic lives. Our little family is getting into the swing of summer. Though my kids still do not get the concept of sleeping in! One day it will come. Kaitlyn (9) is busy with her cheerleading. She is working on her layout in gymnastics. For those of you who don't know what that is it is basically a back flip with straight legs. I have to say she is AMAZING, and I am not just saying that because I am her mom. Okay maybe I am a little biased. Jack (4) is busy trying to make me crazy. He is not as competent as Kait. I guess he is just male. I hear Mom get me this and get me that way too much!!! He makes me laugh with his stories. Which are usually things he has heard Kaitlyn say or a play by play of what spongebob is doing. I am on a diet that does not allow me to eat very much, and I am HUNGRY! This is making me a little cranky according to my family. I, however, do not agree. I keep busy with cleaning, taking Kait to gym, and being at Jack's beck and call. Kris is still in home sales. He works a lot, but I can't complain because this allows me to not work a lot!! Kris would say I do not work at all. When he is not working he plays softball at KYA which he takes very SERIOUSLY! If you have never experienced grown men playing softball you need to. They do not realize that we are not in highschool anymore. Last year Kris had an infection in his leg from sliding in shorts. Remember this is recreational softball, but being out was not an option. This year he had a gash in his forehead because he wildly threw his hat off to catch a pop fly. But it was all worth it because they are the league champions. I love my family! Hopefully I can keep this updated and keep everyone filled in on our lives!
